Louis bought this early 60's Japanese crafted Encore guitar because he loved its look, feel and beautiful green color. He knew he wanted to design some kind of Japanese theme, but had a bad case of designers block! But as soon as his wife laid eyes on it, it was clear to her that it had dragon written all over it! So, he thought to concoct a Japanese dragon for the headstock and have his good friend Niklas Senge, a self-educating student of the Japanese language, help him with the word conquer. Louis received several versions and decided to use the one you see on the pickguard. He fabricated it in nickel silver and a white-brass pickup selector switch set with green quartz. The knobs are still a work in progress.
